Roger brook and barker have been amazing with both my dogs my first Toby and recently with Ralph amazing staff who go above and beyond wouldent go anywhere else
The contract you put my dog on had to be paid even tho she left the area . You changed her flea/wormer brand to your own brand without asking to your own brand . You kept 4 months worth of the new tablet which were useless to her . You should not stockpile a dogs flea/ wormer you shld weigh the dog! Yr reception is rude if you try to get through to a Manager/Owner to complain. They say the person isnt there etc
I am absolutely fuming. My dogs have been with rogers, brock and barker for about 13 years and 8 years, i have spent thousands and both are on healthy pet club and have had other pets during and before i had my dogs so my family has been with the vets for about 20 years. i am owed a refund and 7 weeks down the line and i still haven't received it. I have chased this up pretty much each week and when my dogs have been to the vets.its apparently been chased up by 4 different people and has already been sent to management who approved it last week after 6 weeks, i was reassured it would be applied to my account last week, tried to use it on monday and the receptionist was arsey and it still hasn't been applied and that it would need to go to management AGAIN. Ive rang today again and it hasnt been applied and has to go to management AGAIN. How many times does it need to go to managemen? I pay my vets bills in full straight after my consultation and as I've said, ive spent thousands over the years and they cant even be arsed to apply a small refund to my account. What if the refund was a large amount that was needed to fund the treatment of one of my dogs and he couldnt get treatment without those funds? Ive also had a promise for a call back regarding medication for my dog last friday and they couldnt be bothered to ring me back, i had to chase it again. I am not happy and if the refund is not applied to my account today, ill be cancelling healthy pet club and finding a new vets for my dogs. Im not one to write reviews but it has been an absolute piss take, ive wasted time, effort and energy to try and get this resolved and still no closer to a resolution 7 weeks down the line. Disgusting
Edit.. Won't let me write another review. 100% changing vets and cancelling healthy pet club. Brought my now only dog in yesterday as i thought i found a lump (eldest dog had to be put to sleep last year due to a sarcoma in his spine which was untreatable), anyway paid £73 for consultation and meds for inflammation (for her ear) no issues.. Since the passing of my eldest dog, my current dog has been struggling with grief, understandably, and she will occasionally wet herself whilst lying on the sofa with me (happened about 3 times since aug 25) but hasn't done it in a while, so the meds they prescribed causes her to urinate more often so today she has now wet herself 3 times, i didnt bring it up to the nurse or vet yesterday as she hasnt done it in a while so thought it had stopped so ive just rang up and asked if i could quickly speak to the vet when they have 5 for advice and whether i need to be concerned and bring her in again for tests etc (bearing in mind had a full health check in dec and a full check yesterday) to be told if i want to speak to the vet over the phone id be charged a consultation fee 🤣 and then i suppose if i had to bring her in, id have to pay another consultation fee aswell? At £50 a time so £173 in a week. I am an owner that will pay what ever needs to be paid to ensure their animals are okay, last year i spent about 6k on my eldest within 12 weeks. As I've said, ive been with these vets for 20+ years (my mum before i had dogs 14 years ago) with countless pets, rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils and my dogs and ive spent thousands over 14 years with 2 dogs (healthy pet club is about 5k on its own) and always recommend these vets to friends and even strangers in pet shops.. well, no more 🖕🏻. Don't mind paying a consultation fee what so ever but when its following medication prescribed yesterday and paying for a consultation fee already and whether i need to be concerned, I've got to pay £50ish quid for a 3 minute phonecall. Honestly, don't waste your time and money and 50% of the reception staff have a bad attitude, which makes difficult, upsetting and concerning situations involving your pets 100% worse as there is no empathy or compassion. If you hate your job, find a new one but don't put your negative attitude on to me
Very good vets, all staff are lovely.
We recently lost our fabulous little dog and can't thank them enough for the way he was treated in the 9 years of his life.
Excellent care of both of our dogs
We are new customers to RBB vets, and my cat, Star, recently had some dental work carried out where a number of teeth had to be removed. Thankfully, the vet was able to save and clean several teeth - at our previous vets I was told all would be removed so I'm very grateful that some were saved (Star is too!).
The whole process from booking the original appointment to the aftercare has been wonderful. All of the staff, vets, nurses and receptionists have been caring, friendly and professional. I even received a call the day after the procedure to see how Star was, which I thought was excellent. It's so refreshing to receive this level of care.
The service has been exceptional and on behalf of myself and Star, we would like to say thank you to everyone at RBB vets and we highly recommend you.
I had both of my cats done here and on the day of the operation talk to before and they will ring you with a update on your pet lovely staff and always have a smile on there faces and very polite Thank you for looking after my pets ❤️❤️
I originally registered my new puppy with this practice because I was assured that they ran puppy parties for 8-12 week old pups to socialise them with other puppies prior to vaccinations being completed. This never happened because one of the nurses was ill. A national practice charging goodness knows what for treatment can't be bothered to have another nurse to cover for what is a very time critical period? They just couldn't be bothered. Secondly when I called the practice I was constantly referred to as 'Shug'. Very unprofessional and irritating. There was also carcophany of noise in the background making it difficult to have any kind of conversation. When I mentioned this I was told that it is always noisy here shug. I have de-registered.
No nothing discussed with me as per your response. However please don't bother - decision made.
I just wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of you. You weren’t my registered vets (as I live in Manchester), but while staying with family in Stoke, I came to see you as an emergency on a Saturday afternoon.
I have a 5-year-old Frenchie who’s been in and out of vet clinics his whole life due to chronic ear issues, originally caused by allergies. Over the years, I’ve seen countless vets, been asked the same questions repeatedly, not properly listened to, and given the same advice I’ve already tried time and time again. I often feel fobbed off and, to be honest, like many practices care more about charging for everything than they do about the welfare of our pets.
But coming to you was a breath of fresh air. You cared about Joey just as much as I do. Bruce immediately recognised Joey’s anxiety and didn’t try to poke or prod him, which would’ve only made things worse. Instead, he listened to me, discussed what we’d already tried, and suggested a long-term solution—TECA surgery. He spent nearly an hour talking through the procedure, potential complications, and expected outcomes.
I’m writing this review two months later, on the day of Joey’s surgery, while he snores peacefully beside me. I cannot thank Bruce enough. Although this is major surgery, I truly believe it will give Joey a new lease of life. Thank you for taking the time to listen, help, and care for Joey as much as I do.
And it wasn’t just Bruce—every staff member I dealt with over the few weeks I was in and out of your practice (for eye ulcers and ear infections) was incredible. Chloe and Liam were calm, patient, understanding, and genuinely couldn’t do enough for me (there were panicked tears on the phone - and they were absolutely brilliant!) They always called back when they said they would and showed real care for Joey and his wellbeing. Empathy goes a long way, and that's what differentiates your practice to the rest, each and everyone of you made me feel seen, heard, and supported—not just as a pet owner, but as someone who truly loves their dog. That level of compassion and consistency is rare, and it’s what sets your practice apart. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being everything we needed and more.
Thank you all for making both of our lives hopefully so much easier after this surgery. Although you’re not local, I’ve now changed my vets—and the hour-long drive is absolutely worth it. You’re not just my emergency vets anymore—you’re my everyday vets.
