With a Google Maps rating of 4.3 stars based on 463 reviews, the clinic is generally well-received, though not without some concerns.
The majority of reviews highlight the clinic's exceptional care and professionalism. For instance, Rachael Brunt, who encountered the clinic during an emergency, praised the empathetic and thorough care provided by the staff, particularly Bruce, Chloe, and Liam. Her positive experience led her to switch her regular vet to Rogers, Brock & Barker despite the distance. Similarly, Hellena Raisewell commended the staff for their kindness and professionalism during her Pomchi’s surgery, expressing gratitude for the comfort and confidence they provided.
Janet Woollam's review further supports this positive sentiment, noting the caring and professional staff who reassured her during her dog Milo’s surgery, with no complaints about her experiences. Claire Gordon also shared a heartfelt review about the compassionate care her family received during a difficult time with their cat, Rupert.
However, not all feedback is positive. Acquilla Hodgkinson expressed frustration over a delayed refund, describing poor communication and an unresolved issue despite multiple follow-ups over several weeks. This review highlights a potential area for improvement in the clinic's administrative processes.
Overall, Rogers, Brock & Barker Veterinary Surgeons is highly praised for its compassionate and professional veterinary care, although there is room for improvement in handling administrative concerns.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of you. You weren’t my registered vets (as I live in Manchester), but while staying with family in Stoke, I came to see you as an emergency on a Saturday afternoon. I have a 5-year-old Frenchie who’s been in and out of vet clinics his whole life due to chronic ear issues, originally caused by allergies. Over the years, I’ve seen countless vets, been asked the same questions repeatedly, not properly listened to, and given the same advice I’ve already tried time and time again. I often feel fobbed off and, to be honest, like many practices care more about charging for everything than they do about the welfare of our pets. But coming to you was a breath of fresh air. You cared about Joey just as much as I do. Bruce immediately recognised Joey’s anxiety and didn’t try to poke or prod him, which would’ve only made things worse. Instead, he listened to me, discussed what we’d already tried, and suggested a long-term solution—TECA surgery. He spent nearly an hour talking through the procedure, potential complications, and expected outcomes. I’m writing this review two months later, on the day of Joey’s surgery, while he snores peacefully beside me. I cannot thank Bruce enough. Although this is major surgery, I truly believe it will give Joey a new lease of life. Thank you for taking the time to listen, help, and care for Joey as much as I do. And it wasn’t just Bruce—every staff member I dealt with over the few weeks I was in and out of your practice (for eye ulcers and ear infections) was incredible. Chloe and Liam were calm, patient, understanding, and genuinely couldn’t do enough for me (there were panicked tears on the phone - and they were absolutely brilliant!) They always called back when they said they would and showed real care for Joey and his wellbeing. Empathy goes a long way, and that's what differentiates your practice to the rest, each and everyone of you made me feel seen, heard, and supported—not just as a pet owner, but as someone who truly loves their dog. That level of compassion and consistency is rare, and it’s what sets your practice apart. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being everything we needed and more. Thank you all for making both of our lives hopefully so much easier after this surgery. Although you’re not local, I’ve now changed my vets—and the hour-long drive is absolutely worth it. You’re not just my emergency vets anymore—you’re my everyday vets.

We can’t thank the team here enough for the incredible care they gave our beloved Pomchi Otto bear cub. From Gracie’s warm welcome and reassuring updates, to Bruce’s skilled hands in surgery, and Katie’s thoughtful call explaining his recovery and aftercare, every step showed such kindness and professionalism. To the team “You treated our 12-year-old boy as if he were your own, and that means the world to us. We are so grateful for the comfort and confidence you provided during an anxious time”. With heartfelt thanks, Hellena, Danny & Otto bear cub 🐾

I am absolutely fuming. My dogs have been with rogers, brock and barker for about 13 years and 8 years, i have spent thousands and both are on healthy pet club and have had other pets during and before i had my dogs so my family has been with the vets for about 20 years. i am owed a refund and 7 weeks down the line and i still haven't received it. I have chased this up pretty much each week and when my dogs have been to the vets.its apparently been chased up by 4 different people and has already been sent to management who approved it last week after 6 weeks, i was reassured it would be applied to my account last week, tried to use it on monday and the receptionist was arsey and it still hasn't been applied and that it would need to go to management AGAIN. Ive rang today again and it hasnt been applied and has to go to management AGAIN. How many times does it need to go to managemen? I pay my vets bills in full straight after my consultation and as I've said, ive spent thousands over the years and they cant even be arsed to apply a small refund to my account. What if the refund was a large amount that was needed to fund the treatment of one of my dogs and he couldnt get treatment without those funds? Ive also had a promise for a call back regarding medication for my dog last friday and they couldnt be bothered to ring me back, i had to chase it again. I am not happy and if the refund is not applied to my account today, ill be cancelling healthy pet club and finding a new vets for my dogs. Im not one to write reviews but it has been an absolute piss take, ive wasted time, effort and energy to try and get this resolved and still no closer to a resolution 7 weeks down the line. Disgusting

Milo, ( my ' Heinz 57 ' mixed breed dog, 8yrs old) had surgery and x-rays at the Longton branch of RBB. Such a lovely, caring and professional staff. I was so worried and they reassured me that everything would be fine...and it was! Milo loved being there and would probably happily go back tomorrow!! The care for him was second to none. I usually take him to the Cheadle branch for his checkups etc and he considers those visits as a treat! I can't think of any down sides to my encounters with RBB...thanks so much! JW

Our family cat Rupert was taken ill, he was taken in immediately, no delay, sadly 2 days later he passed away, nothing could be done but everything was done to try and save him, we and Rupert received excellent care and kindness from all the staff, they made a sad time much more bearable. We were given plenty of time with him and they kept in touch with us at all times. Thank you all very much.
