From the latest reviews, owners repeatedly point to very practical benefits of a cat-only setup: a quiet waiting room and calmer visits for easily-stressed cats. Several also describe clear communication around procedures—one owner mentions a post‑op phone call that “didn’t feel rushed” after dental surgery, and another describes support for a nervous traveller including medication to reduce stress for the journey and for a blood sample.
Google rating: 4.8 stars from 117 reviews. - Cat-only environment repeatedly linked to calmer appointments (quiet, clean waiting room; less stressful for nervous cats).

An excellent practice dedicated to treating cats. One of the Vets and Vetinary Nurses have additional qualifications in feline medicine making Lime Tree Practice unique. A calming environment for cats and their agitated owners. I highly recommend Lime Trees in Cheadle.

Excellent service and lovely vets. The clinic provides a much calmer and more relaxed environment for cats only, which is the main reason we go. The only reason for the 4 stars is due to the price increases of a number of treatments - £30 increase on vaccinations since my other kitten was vaccinated in march, and £50 increase on neutering since he was neutered in June! Very disappointing.

My cat was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism a few months ago and I had to take him in for his medication review. He is a very nervous traveller and it's a 35-40minute journey for us to get there, but it's worth it for the fantastic service. They even gave me some medication to help keep him calm and reduce his stress on the journey, and for his blood sample. The staff are all wonderful and treat him like he's one of their own. I wouldn't take my cats anywhere else. 🐱

I have not long moved to the area & my cat needed dental surgery so we recently paid quite a few visits to the cat clinic. Whenever we walked in we were always greeted by Lisa, who is incredibly polite and always has a lovely smile. She always shows us a warming welcome. The waiting room is always clean, tidy and quiet, which is good as my cat gets stressed with other animals. I met a few different vets but mostly dealt with Becks. What an absolute angel. From start to finish she was competent, informative with fantastic communication skills. She is full of knowledge and also performed the surgery. After the operation took place, she was on the phone to me to explain everything, the call didn’t feel rushed. She treated my cat exactly how I wanted him to be cared for. I feel that everyone in this clinic has a genuine love for animals and it’s not just a job for them. Everyone I dealt with made an unpleasant experience as pleasant as possible, Becks in particular. My cat used to get incredibly stressed going to the vet, meowing none stop, even urinating in the car on the journey. After he’s met Becks a few times it’s like he’s a new cat in the car! All the stress from him is minimal. Never thought I’d see it. Thank you for making sure my boy is looked after. Paige & Gerald xxx

Recently moved to the area and signed my 7 year old cat up to the pet health club at the Lime tree cat clinic. It’s a great plan that allows me to keep up with vaccinations and health checks. My cat doesn’t have much experience going to the vets but all I can say is during each visit the staff have been absolutely fantastic. The receptionist is kind and helpful, the veterinary nurses were also fabulous and thorough in the appointments. I would never take a pet cat to another clinic/vets now. I’m confident in the quality of care and service that they provide. Thank you all for being so wonderful in a place that can sometimes cause anxiety to pets and their owners! Overall I would highly recommend! 😊
